Guitar Beginnings 1 for Kids Ages 5-8
This class is a great introduction to the guitar in a fun learning environment. Very beginners will learn the basics of music note reading, rhythm, and classical guitar technique. The theory activity book and in-class activities will reinforce learning that happens with the instrument. Students will learn simple songs from the lesson book using the skills they learn in class. We will also spend some time listening to music by important composers for the guitar. The last class will culminate in a recital for students to share what they have learned with parents and family members.
IMPORTANT: Students are required to purchase their own guitar and footstool before the first class. Please read our Guitar Beginnings Instrument Guidelines for your child.
