Biography:

David Chentian completed his Bachelor of music degree with excellent academic performance from Shanghai Conservatory of Music studied with cello professor Min Cao. Then he went on to receive his master of music degree and graduate performance degree from Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University with granted scholarship, he studied with Amit Peled, BSO principal Dariuz. He had the privilege of studying with some of the greatest cellists in the world such as soloist Steven Isserlis, Houston Symphony associate principal Christopher French, Baltimore symphony principal cello Dariusz Skoraczewski, Rice University cello professor Desmond Hoebig and Manhattan school of music cello professor David Geber. David has attended many music festivals throughout the United States and worked with many renowned conductors such as Carl St. Clare, Hans Graf, Leon Fleisher, Marin Alsop and more.  David appears frequently as a soloist, recitalist, symphony orchestra musician and chamber musician, including various performances at different churches, symphony halls, and performing arts centers.  He enjoys teaching students of all ages and sharing the joy of music.
