Voice Class for Kids Ages 5-8

Voice Class for Kids:
Musical Theater Adventures, Ages 5-8

This class is designed specifically for boys and girls ages 5 to 8 years old, who are in the very beginning stage of vocal development and still too young for private lessons. Students will learn about the basics of strong vocal technique with proper breathing and vocal exercises in a fun, engaging environment. Students will also learn about music through song, rhythm, and movement. The class will use the voice (a free and portable instrument!) to build music literacy, but instrumentalists are welcome and encouraged to join the class. In addition to skills building, students will create stories, games, and learn a variety of songs in varied styles to apply what they are learning. The class will culminate with a final performance of songs from Musical Theater repertoire, as well as traditional choral pieces.
