Biography:

Jeremy Killeen, from Highland Park, Illinois,  is a Trombone Performance Major with a minor in Arts Management at George Mason University. He studies privately with Matt Neff of the Navy Commodores.  In the past Jeremy has studied with Craig Mulcahy of the National Symphony Orchestra and Patrick Sweeten, Director of the Great Lakes Navy Band. Jeremy has participated in many musical events, which include attending the “Sewanee Summer Music Festival” and “Mike Becker Low Brass Boot Camp” in Tucson, AZ.  At George Mason Jeremy is a member of the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Brass Ensemble. He participates in various chamber groups at Mason, which include Brass quintet, Trombone Quartet, and Trombone Choir. Jeremy is an active member in his Fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, where he is the Service Chairman. He is currently the Assistant Manager of the George Mason University Symphony Orchestra and the Librarian of the George Mason Wind Symphony.

Jeremy has been teaching privately since 2013. He has taught all ages from 10 years old all the way up to 60 years of age. Jeremy’s favorite part about teaching is seeing his students learn and grow from week to week. After he graduates he is planning on attending graduate school to improve his craft even further. Music is a way for Jeremy to express himself and he wants to help others do the same.
