Biography:

Adam Celli is a native of Northern Virginia and has completed his Master of Music in Double Bass performance at the University of Maryland where he studied with Anthony Manzo. He has taught a number of bass students at multiple levels in the Fairfax area, and he has experience guiding students to success in both solo performance and with their audition repertoire. Adam has extensive experience as a martial arts instructor and combines that discipline and formal training with music to help students develop a strong connection between their minds and bodies. While his own beginning training was largely grounded in the Simandl method, he draws on repertoire from a variety of sources to ensure that students have a well-rounded and enriching education.

As a performer, Adam has performed in ensembles ranging from hundred piece orchestras to solo bass with piano. He was previously the principal bassist of the University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his career as a musician, Adam works as a support specialist for Greystone IT, inc.
