Guitar Essentials AND Classical Guitar Intensive

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Join Potomac's Guitar Instructor Christopher Jenkins for a week long summer workshop, designed to take your guitar playing to the next level! The Guitar Essentials Workshop (for Teens) will cover the basics of guitar playing and prepare the student for individual lessons or a school guitar program. Students will learn guitar notation forms, how to play melodies, and strum chords.
The Intermediate/ Advanced Classical Guitar Intensive (for Teens & Adults) will cover many aspects of guitar performance, including seminars on how to practice effectively and how to prepare for an audition or performance.

- $190
- $15 book fee (Guitar Essentials Workshop only)

2012 Program Highlights:
- Participants will learn & play individually and in small groups
- Topics covered will go beyond just playing, including guitar history, styles, and audition/performance tips
- Individual attention will be given to each participant to explore you specific goals

- For Beginner students, you will be better prepared to begin individual lessons and/or a school guitar program
- For Intermediate/Advanced participants, you will be better prepared to handle auditions and/or excel in performance
