PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Join the Washington Symphonic Brass (GMU's Ensemble-In-Residence) and guest artists for an intensive 4-day Summer Brass Workshop featuring some of the finest performers and artist-teachers on the East Coast. Martin Hackleman (principal horn, National Symphony Orchestra, formerly Canadian Brass), Andrew Hitz, (tuba with the Boston Brass), and Phil Snedecor (founder of WSB, formerly Baltimore Symphony) lead the distinguished line-up of professionals, including members of The U.S. Marine and U.S. Army Bands, who will provide you with new perspective and motivation on your instrument. We invite experienced and enthusiastic brass players (rising 11th grade high school through college age) to participate in this intensive experience of symphonic brass and chamber music.
