"Sing, Dance, Create!" Summer Camps
June 25 - July 25, 2012 (weekly, 3 days per week)


PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Kids (ages 3.5 - 7) will have a blast exploring music, dance and art in this integrated arts camp, designed and presented by Little Hands professional early childhood music and movement educators! We'll sing, dance, play and create with songs and stories based on a whimsical, imaginative theme. Each day will include time for hands-on music making, story telling, dance and movement, "jam session" and an art project. All craft items, instruments and props provided. Children will be grouped according to age.

Week 5 July 23-25 (M,T,W) @ Hylton Performing Arts Center, MANASSAS VA

2012 Program Highlights:
- This summer's theme: "Worlds of Music" - come take a world tour of great music, from Africa, to the Caribbean Islands, and all around Asia to our own "backyard"!
- Different planned activities each week - sign up for any combination of weeks (please note specific week's location; returning campers are welcome as new elements will be added from last year)
- Professional Early Childhood Music & Movement faculty provided by Little Hands
- Classroom tour and family activity at the end of each week
- Parents are NOT required to stay with their child during program hours, although prompt pick-up is expected
- Optional "Lunch & Games" extended afternoon sessions

- Through free artistic expression in a safe setting, children will build confidence in their own creativity and learn to appreciate creativity in others
- Through experience in rhythmic play, both with instruments and through dance and movement, children will gain competence in self-control and musicality
- Enjoy LOTS of musical styles from around the world, learn new songs and play with familiar tunes in new ways
- By integrating the arts into normal daily activities, children will gain a new, highly positive and inspired view of the world around them
