Summer Art Camps for Kids

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

NEW FOR 2014! Let your kids experience this fun visual art summer program which takes place in the University's School of Art. Students will be immersed in a variety of artistic mediums, taught by instructors from the Art Education program at Mason. At the end of the two-week program, students will present an art showcase for family and friends. Art supplies will be provided during class.

Summer Art Camp for Ages 6-8 (9AM-12Noon)
Be transported - art will take you across the globe, to the moon, and into the depths of your imagination! Instill in your children a love for art, storytelling, and travel by having them explore their imaginations in various 2D and 3D media! Week by week, they will bring their unique ideas and designs to life and create memorable works of art. Summer 2014 daily adventures include "Outer Space" and "Create Your Own Castle"!

Summer Art Camp for Ages 9-12 (1PM-4PM)
Dive in to the creative experience of art making! Students will participate in technical skill-building activities with opportunities for creative freedom and self-expression. Participants will explore art of the past and present in creative and innovative ways through games and activities. Using a variety of different mediums, students will explore the basics of color, line, form, and composition.

Registration Facts

Refund Policy:
If a registrant has to cancel participation in this program, a tuition refund (minus a $50 cancellation fee) will be given provided that notice is received by the Potomac Arts Academy no later than 2 weeks before the program start date. No refunds will be granted after this date without valid medical documentation.
