FULL QUESTION: Hi! I am interested in attending the Level IV course this summer and I was wondering how much the course typically costs.

Thanks for your interest in the Orff Schulwerk Certification Program at Mason! This summer we are happy to offer a one-week, 3-credit Master Class in Orff Schulwerk taught by Steve Calantropio. Steve is now teaching Level III at Mason and will run the Master Level at a different time than the Levels Courses. Mason's Orff Certification Program has a Supplemental Week of classes which enrich the experience in elemental music and movement and the Master Class will run during this time - July 9 - 13, 2012. Steve's knowledge of elemental theory, composition and arranging, as well as his reputation for excellent process teaching, make his Master Class an inspiring and very popular experience for the Orff student. We anticipate heavy enrollment for the Master Class this summer. There are two choices for enrollment - either for Credit or for Non-Credit. While final tuition fees have not yet been set, costs for a 3-hour class last summer were $876 for non-credit, $1,410 for in-state credit. 2012 tuition costs should be set by February. I would encourage you to stay connected with us through the Orff Central site as more information about tuition, housing and events for the summer become available. Due to the anticipated popularity of the Master Class early registration is definitely recommended. Please let us know if you have further questions - we will be more than happy to answer them. I hope to see you this summer at Mason!
