Private Music Lessons
The Potomac Arts Academy provides exceptional private music lessons with university-quality instructors from the acclaimed Mason arts community!
We schedule 12 lessons per Semester in blocks of 30/45/60 minutes, with 2 available make-ups. (Summer schedule may vary)
We offer new students a Trial Package of 4 lessons, with the option of continuing with the remaining number of lessons available after. For students who sign up mid-semester, lessons can be pro-rated based on the number of weeks remaining*. Please call the Potomac office to arrange. Subsequent lessons will be scheduled on a full semester basis.

Through an agreement with Mason's School of Music, we have direct access to quality instructors who are Graduate and Undergraduate Mason Music Students that have been specifically approved by their Professors on the basis of musical excellence and educational strength. Go to our Faculty Page

We also have a select number of Mason Music Faculty who offer private lessons through Potomac. Individual rates vary but are generally higher than the Graduate Music student rate.

All lessons take place at either the Mason Fairfax campus (Saturdays) or at the Potomac Arts Academy building just off campus on 123/Chain Bridge Road (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays). We do not send instructors into homes for private lessons. For more details, and to begin your personal instructor search, please submit the following form, and a Potomac staff member will respond within 2 to 3 days.
*Please note: When scheduling lessons, your tuition includes a non-refundable $50 registration fee. Once lessons are scheduled, makeups will be offered if the instructor or Potomac Arts Academy must cancel lessons or in case of a family emergency on the part of the student on a case-by-case basis only.
